Position: Full Stack Developer Intern

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Full Stack Developer Intern to join our team for a 3-month equity-based internship. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about learning and building real-world applications. You will be working on a full-stack project, contributing to both the front-end and back-end development.

What You’ll Do:

  • Collaborate with the team to design, develop, and deploy new features for our web application.
  • Work on both front-end (React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and back-end (Node.js, Python, or other relevant technologies) development.
  • Participate in code reviews and team discussions.
  • Implement database management (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
  • Test and troubleshoot application functionality and bugs.
  • Gain hands-on experience with the complete software development lifecycle, from ideation to deployment.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Basic understanding of front-end and back-end web development (knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Node.js, Python, etc.).
  • Familiarity with databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
  • Enthusiasm for learning and working in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) is a plus.
  • Prior project or internship experience in web development is a plus but not required.

Equity-Based Compensation Opportunity:

As part of the SOULCHI team, you'll take part in our equity-based compensation model, aligning your success with the success of our business. After much research, we have found the fairest equity model for a startup. We use the Slicing Pie model. The first phase is equity-based only, which we are currently in. Equity calculations move dynamically based on your fair market rate and actual number of hours worked. In the second phase, which happens at the break-even point, the equity freezes at each member's current earned percentage, and compensation switches to salary + benefits. Your equity percentage gets paid out annually as part of the profit sharing. This is more than a job; it's an opportunity to own a piece of the future.
